The Mamiya, a food supply ship of the Imperial Japanese Navy, was completed in July 1924. She played a crucial role in the Navy's operations in the Pacific. On Dec. 20, 1944, she was torpedoed and damaged in the South China Sea, ultimately sinking on the 21st due to the USS Sealion.
